Here at Benevis – a Dental Support Organization – we have remained on the forefront of technology to better serve our customers. Working with UTG – our managed services provider – has helped us do that.Benevis provides non-clinical support for 150 dental offices around the country, including all the back-office functions. Marketing, call centers, legal, HR, purchasing, facilities, and IT support are our focus. Of our partners, UTG has been helpful in enabling our digital transformation, making our IT operations more cost-effective and efficient.
UTG’s Role in Digital Transformation
UTG helped us implement SD-WAN technology and SIP telephony before it became mainstream.
Acting as an extension of our team, UTG handles the network operations center (NOC) function. They help us monitor an alarm when servers, circuits, or systems go down, acting as our main support when issues need to be resolved. Additionally, UTG works with carriers on our behalf.
As an enabler, UTG helps us do things we wouldn’t otherwise be able to in terms of our digital footprint. For example, we’re able to manage network functions virtually instead of configuring a device at the site. This gives us a big advantage by increasing our reach and reliability.
When we launched the SD-WAN program with UTG, they gave us an insight into the offices that struggled most with availability and then proceeded to help us create redundancy in those offices. UTG’s guidance in deployment and helping us transition our monitoring services over to the new solution was a big help. UTG not only assisted us with our digital transformation, but also helped us adjust to our new networking scheme reflective of our new infrastructure.
